Melinda Rhea Reif Obituary

Melinda Rhea Reif, daughter of the late Roy Glen Adams and Alline Smith Adams, was born in Fort Worth, Texas on November 14, 1956 and departed this life at her residence in Bernie, Missouri on January 30, 2016 at the age of 59.

Mrs. Reif was a Homemaker.

She was united in marriage to Robert Reif Jr. in Flint, Michigan on November 22, 1975.  Mr. Reif survives in their home in Bernie.

Other survivors include, two daughters, Cassy Reif of Dexter, Missouri and Nikki Reif of Chaffee, Missouri; by two grandchildren, Ava Reif and Aubrey Westmoreland; by one sister, Mimi Matthews of Flint, Michigan; also by other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death other than by her parents, by one brother, Mike Adams. 

Friends may call at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in BERNIE, Missouri on Thursday, February 4, 2016 from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 P.M. 

Funeral Services will then be conducted at 2:00 P.M. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Danny Collins officiating. 

Interment will follow in the Bernie Cemetery.

Mary Frances Watson Obituary

Mary Frances Watson, daughter of the late Louis Wilkerson and Cora Ann Triplett Wilkerson, was born on February 13, 1925 in Bell City, Missouri and departed this life on January 29, 2016 at her residence in Bernie, Missouri at the age of 90.

 

Mrs. Watson was a member of the Bernie United Methodist Church, a homemaker and a resident of Bernie.

 

On April 6, 1958, she was united in marriage to Harold Oscar Watson at Dexter, Missouri.  Mr. Watson preceded her in death on April 24, 2009.

 

She is survived by one daughter, Anita Poeppelmeyer of Bernie, Missouri; by five grandchildren, Richard, Josie, Kim, Erin and Scott; by five great-grandchildren and by two great-great-grandchildren.

 

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Delores Hyde.

 

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Friday, February 5, 2016 from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. 

 

A graveside service will follow at Hagy Cemetery with Rev. Elijah Allen officiating.

Donald Davis, son of the late Homer "Doc" and Pauline Hastings Davis, was born in Kinder, Missouri on May 18, 1945, and passed away at his home in Puxico, Missouri on January 29, 2016, at the age of 70 years, 8 months and 11 days.

Mr. Davis had lived most of his life in Puxico, Missouri. He had worked at the Jones Saw Mill and was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are his wife, Patricia Davis of Puxico, Missouri; two daughters, Donna Davis of Jackson, Missouri, Debbie Beard of Climax Springs, Missouri; and two grandchildren. Other relatives and many friends also survive. He was preceded in death by one sister Betty Patton.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in the Puxico Cemetery in Puxico, Missouri with Rev. Marvin Jones of Puxico, Missouri officiating.

Interment will follow in the Puxico Cemetery in Puxico, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Puxico, Missouri in charge of arrangements.

Della Mae Patterson Appleton Graham, daughter of the late Victor Harris and Alma Marie Bess Patterson, was born in Greenbrier, Missouri on July 18, 1943, and passed away at her home in Morehouse, Mo. on January 30, 2016, at the age of 72 years, 6 months and 12 days.

Della had lived the last forty years in Morehouse. She had worked as a Janitor at Rowe Furniture in Morehouse and was a member of the Clines Island General Baptist Church.

On August 3, 1985 She married Dale Graham in Morehouse, Missouri.

Surviving are her husband, Dale Graham of Morehouse, Mo; two sons, Jerry Appleton of Sikeston Mo and Larry Appleton of Morehouse, Mo; seven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; two brothers, Ronnie Patterson of Dexter, Cletus Patterson of Essex, Mo.; and one sister, Joyce Agee of Peoria, Il. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one son, Ronald Appleton; four brothers, Junior Patterson, James Patterson, Homer Patterson and Weldon Bess; two great grandsons, Caleb Burton and Zane Allen.

Friends may visit from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Monday, February 1, 2016, at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 2, 2016, at 10:00 am at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri with Rev. Ronnie Leadbetter and Rev. Jimmy Vent officiating.

Bill Lee Obituary

Bill Lee, son of the late Albert Harty Lee and Mary Etta Stallings Lee was born on August 24, 1930 in Dexter, Missouri and departed this life on January 28, 2016 at Southeast Health Center of Stoddard County in Dexter, Missouri at the age of 85.

Mr. Lee accepted the Lord and was baptized in October of 1993.  Because of poor health, he was not able to attend but supported Sadler Chapel Church near Dexter.  He had worked as an Inspector for McDonnell Aircraft (Boeing) in St. Louis, Missouri and retired in 1995.  In 1998, he moved from Maryland Heights to Dexter.  He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp serving in the Korean War from 1951 to 1954. 

He enjoyed watching the birds, squirrels and deer in his backyard and fed the birds every day.  He also enjoyed bowling, playing cards and a good cup of coffee.  Baseball was his game, and the St. Louis Cardinals was his favorite team. 

On June 13, 1953, he was united in marriage to Josephine L. Hill in Yuma, Arizona.  Mrs. Lee preceded him in death on September 2, 2012.

He is survived by one daughter, Mickey Tuley and husband C. E. of Dexter, Missouri; by one granddaughter, Jennifer Rowland of St. Louis, Missouri; by one brother, Earl Lee of Pulaski, Tennessee; and by three sisers, Connie Ivester of Mulberry, Tennessee, Mary Patterson  of Jefferson City, Tennessee and Wilma Nydem of Dandridge, Tennessee.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by one granddaughter, JoAnna Lee Tuley; and by six brothers, Albert Lee, Tom Lee, Jim Lee, Pete Lee, Robert Lee and Jerry Lee in infancy.

Friends were able to call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Saturday, January 30, 2016 from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. 

Funeral services were conducted in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 3:00 P.M. with Rev. Jim Hook officiating.

Interment followed in the Sadler Chapel Cemetery
