In Loving Memory of Patricia Tilley

Patricia "Patty" Tilley, daughter of Evelyn Latham Crowell and the late Jack Crowell, was born in Stoddard County, Missouri on February 17, 1941, and passed away at the Cypress Point Skilled Nursing Center in Dexter, Missouri on July 24, 2016, at the age of 75 years, 5 months and 7 days.

She had lived all of her life in Stoddary County. She was a member of the Sweet Prospect General Baptist Church in Dexter. She devoted her life taking care of her family and liked to read, crochet, and garden when she could.

Surviving are one son & wife, John & Felicia "Pete" Tilley of Bloomfield Missouri; two daughters, Marty Starnes of Dexter, Tammy and husband Danny Starnes of Bloomfield; nine grandchildren and spouses, Jessica & Darrell Penberthy, Amanda & Dennis Graser, Melinda Tilley, Mitchell & Kendall Tilley, Paige Snelson, Allison Snelson, and Brent Starnes; Brice Earnheart; Brady Bradshaw. twelve great grandchildren, Lawles & Willa Graser, Caroline, Jack & Lydia Penberthy, Amyah Clayborne, Wyatt Snelson, Sadie and Elijah Tilley; Camden Earnheart, Willow and Presley Bradshaw; Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her father, Jack Crowell, brother, Ronnie Crowell and sister, Bonnie Crowell and twin daughters Mary and Sherry Tilley.

Visitations will be held on Wednesday, July 27, 2016, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 28, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter with Rev. Ray Rowland of Dexter officiating.

Interment will be in the Bloomfield Cemetery in Bloomfield with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.

In Loving Memory of Tyler Halsey

Tyler Halsey, son of Tammy and Terry Kennedy of Dexter and Andrew Halsey of Kansas City, Missouri was born on June 29, 1993 in Monette, Missouri and departed this life at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff at the age of 23.

Tyler was a resident of Dexter and a graduate of Dexter Senior High School.  He worked for Townsend Tree Service on their road crew and tree removal service.

Besides his mother, father and step-father he is survived by three sisters, Aurora Marie Stucker of Poplar Bluff, Cayce Noelle Halsey of Dexter and Angelica Marie Louise Kennedy of Dexter.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. 

Funeral services will then be conducted on Wednesday at 6:00 P.M. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel.

In Loving Memory of Homer Eugene Hammel

Homer Eugene Hammel of Bloomfield, son of the late William Homer and Carrie Creed Hammel, was born in Bloomfield, Missouri on February 15, 1925, and passed away at his home, July 22, 2016, at the age of 91 years.

He had lived in Bloomfield before spending 55 years in St. Louis where he worked as a machinist for 35 years at Standard Machine Company. He attended the First General Baptist Church in Bloomfield and was a veteran of the U. S. Army, serving during WWII.

On November 16, 1946, he married Bettie Jean Baker in Piggott, Arkansas.

Surviving are his wife, Bettie J. Hammel of Bloomfield, Missouri; three sons, Larry Eugene  Hammel (Chris) of Roy, Washington, Kirk Brian Hammel of St. Louis, Scott Alan Hammel (Kathy) of St. Louis; one daughter, Sharon Kaye Hessler of St. Louis; fourteen grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and two sisters, Marcia Vaughn (Dex) of Florida and Ruth Clary of Union, Missouri. Other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by one brother, Julius Spencer Hammel and one brother in law, Jerome Clary.

Friends may visit on Monday, July 25, 2016, after 9:00 a.m. at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Missouri.

Graveside services will be on Monday, July 25, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. at the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield with the Rev. Ronnie Stevens of Bloomfield, Missouri officiating.

Interment will follow at the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield with full military honors, Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home of Bloomfield, Missouri in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the Zion Cemetery, c/o Martha Walker, 407 W. Bloomfield, Bloomfield, Missouri  63825.

In Loving Memory of Dale Jones

Dale Jones, son of the late Albert Jones and Dorothy Atchison Young was born on January 8, 1941 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and departed this life on July 21, 2016 at the Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau at the age of 75.

Mr. Jones was a Veteran of the United States Army, serving in Vietnam.  During his service in the Army he served under the Special Forces in the Green Beret unit. 

Mr. Jones was a self-employed car dealer and a resident of Dexter.  He and his wife attended the First Assembly of God Church in Dexter.  Mr. Jones will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather who could light up the room with laughter as soon as he entered.  He was a Patriot who loved his God, his family and people.  In his younger days, he could be found at the local demolition derbys, and winning frequently.

On November 10, 1963 he was united in marriage to Margaret Conner in Puxico, Missouri.  Mrs. Jones survives of their home in Dexter.   

Besides his wife he is survived by two sons, Dale Jones Jr. of Dexter and Brian and wife Sarah Jones of Dexter; by two grandchildren, Logan Jones and Lily Jones both of Dexter; by two brothers, Tommy Jones and Ronald Young both of Dexter; by three sisters, Mary Wilkerson and husband Wayde of Defuniak Springs, Florida, Barbara Groves of Corning, Arkansas and Patsy Rogers of Lowndes, Missouri and by many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Albert Jones and Jackie Jones and by three sisters, Shirley McAnally, Betty Cox and Debra Metcalf.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter on Monday, July 25, 2016 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. 

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at the First Assembly of God Church in Dexter with Rev. Mike Kohlbaker and Rev. Dale Jones Jr. officiating. 

Interment will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.

In lieu of flowers the family requests all memorials be made to the First Assembly of God Church in Dexter.

In Loving Memory of Loretta Glen Dodd

Loretta Glen Dodd, daughter of Theetta Maxine Owens Cokley and the late Jimmy Cokley was born in Pontiac, Michigan on January 29, 1958 and departed this life at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on July 20, 2016 at the age of 58.
 
Ms. Dodd was a Registered Nurse and had worked for Walker Home Health of Bernie, Missouri and later at Covenant Care in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.  She was a resident of Bernie, Missouri.
 
Survivors include her Mother, Theetta Cokley of Bernie, Missouri; by one son, Terrill Owen Dodd of Bernie, Missouri; by three brothers, Orlie Edward Cokley of Dayton, Ohio, James Thomas Cokley of Clarkton, Michigan and Charles Daniel Cokley of Portland, Oregon; by two sisters, Stephenia Elizabeth Cokley of St. Louis, Missouri and Karen Lee Burner of Bernie, Missouri; also by other relatives and friends.
 
She was preceded in death other than by her Father, by one sister, Amy Louise Cokley.
 
No services are being plan at this time.  Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie, Missouri in charge of all arrangements.
