Barbara Kathleen Stearns, daughter of the late Cecil Sipes and Ella Brassfield Sipes, was born in Blytheville, Arkansas on January 21, 1934 and departed this life in Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter, Missouri on August 6, 2016 at the age of 82.
Mrs. Stearns was a homemaker, had worked at Brown Shoe Company of Bernie, Missouri for 27 years and later worked for Gates Rubber of Poplar Bluff, Missouri on 13 years. She was a member of the Essex Church of Christ.
She was united in marriage to Walter Lindell Stearns on March 4, 1950 in Piggott, Arkansas. Mr. Stearns preceded his wife in death on January 19, 1995.
Survivors include five sons, Ronnie Stearns & wife Linda of Dexter, Missouri, Rickey Stearns & wife Betty of Dexter, Missouri, Terry Stearns & wife Cindy of Bernie, Missouri, Kenny Stearns of Farmington, Missouri and Timmy Stearns of Dexter, Missouri; by one sister, Gloria Blough of Dexter, Missouri; by seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren; also by other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death other than by her parents and her husband, by three brothers, Alvin Sipes, Bud Sipes and Joe Webster; by three sisters, Pauline Sipes Warren, Juanita Webster Mosley and Lola Jean Sipes in infancy.
Friends may call at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie, Missouri on Monday, August 8, 2016 from 12:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M.
Funeral services will then be conducted at 2:00 P.M. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home with Herman Morris officiating.
Interment will follow in Chalk Bluff Cemetery, Rural Dexter, Missouri.

Rev. Charles Calvin Hanna, 85, a retired Baptist minister for over 50 years passed away Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2016 at The Manor in Poplar Bluff.
Rev. Hanna, the son of the late Charles Lindall and LaVerne C. Turner Hanna, was born Feb. 15, 1931 in Centralia, Mo. He attended Hannibal-Lagrange College in Hannibal, Mo. where he received an Associate of Arts Degree. He later attended East Texas Baptist College in Marshall, Texas, where he sang in the college choir and received a Bachelor of Arts Degree. He also received many years of seminary extension training. Rev. Hanna served as pastor at Bloomfield First Baptist Church, Doniphan First Baptist Church, Calvary Baptist Church in Corning, Ark. and New Hope Baptist Church in Peace Valley, Mo. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge 209 in Poplar Bluff and had also served on the Missouri Baptist Children's Home board for six years. He enjoyed working on antique clocks and playing the harmonica but his greatest passion was preaching and singing.
On Dec. 21, 1952, he married Maurine Berry in Centralia, Mo. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include two daughters, Melanie Jackson Stoelting and her husband, Keith Stoelting of Puxico, Mo. and Lorri Shelton and her husband, Don Shelton of Branson Mo.; two grandchildren, Nathan (Malika) Jackson and Natalie (Ben) Woodbury; two great-grandchildren, Harper Jackson and Kellan Woodbury; and three step-grandchildren, Scott Stoelting, Christy Stoelting and Shane Stoelting.
A son-in-law, Keith Jackson also preceded Rev. Hanna in death.
Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff with the funeral service following at 11 a.m. Dr. William Vail will officiate. The burial will take place at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Robert “Bobby” Joseph Boudreaux, son of the late Aurelien and Alice Alleman Boudreaux was born on September 6, 1939 in Lafayette, Louisiana and departed this life on August 1, 2016 at his residence in Dexter at the age of 76.
Bobby was a Veteran of the United States Army. He was employed in Hospital Maintenance in Lafayette, Louisiana. He was an artist, recognized by Missouri State House of Representative Billy Pat Wright, and a resident of Dexter.
He was united in marriage to Elva Jean Bell on May 1, 2010 in Lafayette, Louisiana. Mrs. Boudreaux survives of the home in Dexter.
Besides his wife he is survived by two daughters, Concetta and husband Bobby McGuire of Dexter and Sarah Adams of Dexter; by two step-sons, Roy Bell of Dexter and James Bell of Springfield, Missouri; by one step-daughter, Lisa Bell of Bloomfield; by three brothers, Chester A. “Tony” Romero of Lafayette, Louisiana, Matthew A. “Peanut” Romero Jr. of Broussard, Louisiana and John W. Romero of Youngsville, Louisiana; by three sisters, Merline M. Romero of Youngsville, Louisiana, Berndine M. Pellerin of Youngsville, Louisiana and Ray Dean Griffin of Golden Meadows, Louisiana; and by four grandchildren, Loran and Dustin Adams and Jake and Josh McGuire.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard J. Romero and Lionel J. Romero and by his biological mother, Mary Boudreaux.

Earl "Hutch" Hutchison of Dexter, son of the late Herbert Willis and Ruby Mae Wells Hutchison, was born in Scoby, Montana on October 29, 1923, and passed away at the Golden Living Center in Dexter on August 1, 2016, at the age of 92 years, 9 months and 3 days.
Hutch graduated from Grinnell, Iowa schools in 1942. Served in the U. S. Navy from 1942 through 1946, where he served in the Pacific area. He spent 42 years in the Lumber business, first in Grinnell and Manson, Iowa, he then moved to Sikeston to work at the Robinson Lumber Company. He established the ABE Home Center on Davis Blvd in 1972 where he worked until his retirement in 1992. He was a member of the Sikeston Chamber of Commerce and enjoyed being Sec.-Tres. of the SIDC for several years. He is a member of the First United Methodist Church, the American Legion, the V.F.W. and the Dexter Elks Lodge. After his retirement he moved to his farm west of Bloomfield and later moved to Dexter.
He was married to Polly J. Sheets in Dexter.
Surviving are his wife, Polly J. Sheets of Dexter; one son, Jack Hutchison of Springfield, Missouri; two daughters, Rebecca Prindle of Van Buren, Jo Ann Hutchison of Springfield, Missouri; one daughter in law, Staci Hutchison of Knoxville, Tennessee; eleven grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. Other relatives and many friends also survive.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Richard & Scott Hutchison; three sisters, Doris Breiting, Betty Mann and Lynn Bauchman.

David Gilmore of Hayti, Missouri - A great man, father, husband, coach and principal passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2016.
A celebration of David's life will be held at the Hayti High School gymnasium on Sunday, July 31, 2016.
Visitation will be from Noon to 2:00 p.m. with the funeral to follow immediately after.
David has finally won the game and what a valiant struggle, right down to the last tick on the clock.
