
Stoddard County, Missouri - The SCAA Softball Tournament begins today, Monday, April 18, 2016 at each of the higher seeded locations.
Woodland Lady Cardinals have the number one seed and have earned a bye for tonight’s games. The Bernie Lady Mules will take the field on Tuesday against either Dexter or Bloomfield.
#4 Advance will play #5 seeded Puxico at Advance on Monday at 4:30 p.m.
Dexter seeded #3 will play the #6 seeded Bloomfield Lady Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. in Dexter on Monday. The winner of this game will go on to play Bernie seeded #2 at Bernie on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at 4:30 p.m.
The Championship game will be played on Wednesday, April 20th at 4:30 in the higher seeded location pending weather. There is a chance of rain on Wednesday for the Stoddard County area.
Dexter, Missouri - The Dexter Bearcats Golf Team hosted Notre Dame and Sikeston on Wednesday, April 13, 2016.
Notre Dame won with a team score of 165. Dexter finished second with a team score of 176. Sikeston fell last with a team score of 209.
Ethan Stevens finished 2nd overall with an individual score of 37. Gavin White shot a 42, Taylor Smith shot a 43 and River Chism shot a 54.

Dexter, Missouri - The Dexter Golf Team hosted Advance, Sikeston, and Poplar Bluff on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at the Hidden Trails Golf Course.
The Poplar Bluff Mules won with a team score of 157. Dexter Bearcats came in second with a score of 181. Advance came in third with a team score of 181 and Sikeston finished last with a team score of 227.
Ethan Stevens shot a 39, Gavin White shot a 40, River Chism shot a 44 and Taylor Smith shot a 48.

Kennett, Missouri - The Dexter Lady Cats earned a first place win at the Metz Cherry Stadium at Kennett Invitational Track and Field Meet on Tuesday afternoon. Several earned first and second place medals.
In team competition, Dexter Lady Cats' team finished in first place, Malden finished second, Charleston earned a third place ranking and Kennett finished fourth. Kelly, East Prairie, and Hayti rounded out the bottom. In boys, East Prairie walked away with first place while the hosts claimed fourth as well.

Dexter, Missouri - The Dexter Bearcats varsity boys tennis team placed second in the Poplar Bluff Invitational on Saturday, April 2, 2016 in Dexter. It was moved due to construction at the Poplar Bluff Schools.
Not only did Dexter's team place second, but they had a player advance to the singles final and a doubles team win the doubles tournament. The boys tennis team initially tied for first place with Poplar Bluff in the team competition with both teams securing 11.5 points each. Farmington placed 3rd with a score of 8.5 points and Sikeston finished fourth with zero points.
Poplar Bluff eventually won the tournament because they won more games than any other team in the tournament. Dexter won 51 games while Poplar Bluff won 54 games during the tournament.
Ethan Flowers of Dexter advanced to the singles championship after beating Brett Johnson of Sikeston 8-6 in a quarterfinal and defeating Isaac Laseter of Poplar Bluff 8-2 in a semifinal. Alex England of Farmington beat Flowers 8-4 in the championship match.
Zach Potts and Joshua Kohlbaker, a doubles team from Dexter, took the top prize beating Beau Bryant and Will Leonard of Sikeston 8-0 in quarterfinal play and beat Diego Rivetti and Greg Roberson from Poplar Bluff 8-3 in semifinal action. They then defeated Peyton Bradley and Eduardo Martinez of Poplar Bluff 8-3 in the championship.
