In Memory of Debra Ann Harlan

Debra Ann Harlan of Grayridge, daughter of the late James Eugene and Naomi Joyce Ross Dougherty, was born on January 6, 1959, in St. Louis, Missouri and passed away at her home in Grayridge, Missouri on May 24, 2018, at the age of 59 years, 4 months and 18 days.
She had worked as a custodian at the Jackson Schools and moved to Grayridge over thirty years. She enjoyed fishing, dogs and spending time with her grandkids.
On August 4, 1989, she married Michael Harlan in Essex, Missouri.
Surviving are her husband, Michael Harlan of Grayridge; one son, Tommy J. Harlan of Essex; three daughters & husbands, Melody & Justin Davis of Essex, Diane Bardol of Jackson, Deedra & Austin Gardner of Phoenix, Arizona; daughter-in-law, Monika Harlan; ten grandchildren, James, Trevor and Tyler Chaffin, Jacob and wife, Jasmine and Josh Kidd, Kailiegh, Breynley, Conner, Abbey and Lacey Gardner; one great grandchild, Jaxton Kidd; two brothers, Larry Dougherty of Perryville, Larry Carr of Tennessee; three sisters, Toni Parham of St. Louis, Eva Warren and Rhonda Caldwell both of Oklahoma, two sisters-in-law, Lynn Dougherty of Marietta, Oklahoma and Deb Dougherty of St. Louis. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one son, Michael T. Harlan; and two brothers, Timothy and Terry Dougherty.
A celebration of life will be held at the home in Grayridge on Sunday, May 27, 2018, at 3:00 p.m.

In Memory of James Hancock

James Hancock, 75 of Malden, passed away on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at his residence in Malden, Missouri.
James Hancock, the son of James and Mossie Churchill Hancock, was born on Thursday, April 1, 1943 in Dell, Arkansas.
He was the owner and operator of NAPA Auto Parts in Malden for 14 years and a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Malden. James served in the U S Army from August 1966 tru August 1968.
On July 21, 2006 in Piggott, Arkansas he was united in marriage to Bonnie Loyd. She survives.
Other survivors include one daughter, Lori Casselberry and husband David of Malden; two step-sons, David Mitchem and wife Beth of Malden and Scott Mitchem and wife Becky of Bowling Green, Missouri; one grandson, Dustin Casselberry and wife Morgin of Malden; one step grandson, Brandon Marlow and wife Lizzie of Dexter; two great grandchildren, Kaylee & Raegin Casselberry of Malden; one step grandchild, Addison Marlow of Dexter; one sister, Betty Fitch and five brothers, Freddy, Bill, Jimmy, Gilbert & Bobby Hancock..
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Jean & Janice
A memorial service will be held 10 a.m., Friday, May 25, 2018 at the Landess Funeral Home in Malden with Pastor Jonathan Ross officiating.
Interment with military honors will be at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
At the request of the family NAPA Auto Parts Store photo was used for the photo with the obituary.

In Memory of Barbara Ann Miller

Barbara Ann Miller, age 82 passed away on May 16, 2018 at her home in Bloomfield, MO. Born near Thomas, OK February 1, 1936 to Henry and Irene (Nissley) Bender.
She was united in marriage to Adin C. Miller on October 8, 1959. He passed away on March 27, 2010. They shared lifes joys and sorrows for 50 years. To this union were born three sons and two daughters, Howard and Wife Catherine, with whom she resided since April 2014, Carol and Husband Galen Yoder of Bolivia, Ervin and Wife Carolyn of Gold Creek, Montana, Leanna at home, David Perry and wife Lorretta of KY.
She was a member of Crowley Ridge Mennonite Church where she faithfully attended while health permitted.
Also surviving are nineteen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three sisters, Freda of Kalona, IA, Treva of Spencer, WI, and Mary Ellen of Kalona, IA; three brothers, David of Alymer, Ontario, Glen of Auburn, NE and Perry of Kalona, IA; Uncle David Nissley of Illinois; and fifty-one nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Adin; her parents; two Aunts; two Uncles; one brother-in-law and one granddaughter.

In Memory of Mary Irene Vandergriff

Mary Irene Vandergriff of Benton, daughter of the late Ruben Elliott and Pearl Irene Day Boggs, was born in Scottsboro, Nebraska on May 10, 1951, and passed away at her home in Benton, Missouri on May 18, 2018, at the age of 67 years and 14 days.
Mary married Arthur Vandergriff in 1977, in Ellington, Missouri, he preceded her in death in 1996.
Mary also lived in the Bell City, Van Buren and Ellington areas before moving to Benton five years ago.
Surviving are one daughter and husband, Susan and Chad Morris; of Benton; one granddaughter Bridget Patterson of Fisk, Missouri; one grandson Jeramia Patterson of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; three great grandchildren; one brother, Jack Boggs of Springfield Missouri; one sister Connie Lacy of Bell City, Missouri. Other relatives and many friends also survive. She was preceded in death her husband and her parents.
Visitation will be Tuesday, May 22, 2018, from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at the Chiles- Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Missouri.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am in the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Jeannie Hazel of Bloomfield officiating.
Internment will be at 12:00 noon at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield with Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home of Bloomfield, Missouri in charge of arrangements.

Thomas Odell Miller, son of the late Loyd Thomas and Gladys Ruth Patterson Miller, was born in McNairy, Tennessee on December 7, 1940, and passed away at his home in Parma on May 17, 2018, at the age of 77 years.
Thomas lived in Tennessee until 9 years old, then moved to Arkansas for two years before moving to Missouri.
On September 27, 1958, he was married to Martha Ellen McIntosh in Catron, Missouri.
Surviving are his wife, Martha Miller of Parma; three daughters & husbands, Marsha & John Paul Campbell of North Dinwiddie, Virginia, Tabatha & Joshua Cullum and Wendy Stafford all of Parma; two sons & wife, Thomas Gene & Tricia Miller of O'Fallon, Joshua Koth of Parma; eighteen grandchildren & spouses, Lindsey & David Longrie of Colorado Springs, CO, Misty & Kenny Patterson of Dardanelle AR, Thomas Jacob & Megan Miller of St Louis MO, Kyle Miller, Kurt Miller, Justin Strayhorn, Landon Strayhorn, and Cooper Strayhorn, all of O'Fallon MO, Aaron & Hanna Strayhorn of O'Fallon MO, Heidi & Joe Day of St Louis MO, Michelle & Micah Alsobrook of St Louis MO, Shannon Strayhorn of O'Fallon MO, Hunter Stratton and Seth Stratton of Jonesboro AR, Evelyn Stratton, Kaycee Cullum, JJ Cullum and Brayson Cullum all of Parma MO, Allison Stafford of Parma MO; eight great grandchildren, Benjamin Longrie, Jonathan Longrie and Andrew Longrie of Colorado Springs CO, Kendall Patterson, Maggie Patterson and Myles 'Little Tom' Patterson of Dardanelle AR Kimberley Patterson of Kewanee MO, AJ. Strayhorn of O'Fallon MO; two brothers, Robert "Bobby" Miller of Clinton, Tennessee, Dean Buck of Dexter; one sister, Dorothy Eaton of Parma. Other family and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Margie Leonard and Linda Dutton, and one brother, Paul Miller.
Thomas has donated the "Gift of Life" and his body and will be transported to the St. Louis University School of Medicine. There are no services planned, Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Parma is in charge of arrangements.
The family requests memorial donations be made to the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
