In Memory of Dorothy Faye Black Kersey Jarrell

Dorothy Faye Black Kersey Jarrell of Dexter, daughter of the late Ulysses and Cora Francis Black, was born on May 9, 1926 in Mt. Ida, Arkansas and passed away at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau on October 11, 2018, at the age of 92 years 5 months and 2 days.
Dorothy had lived in Cardwell,,Bloomfield and moved to Dexter in 1948. She had worked for Elders Manufacturing and attended the Dexter Church of Christ. She enjoyed her roses and vegetable gardening.
Surviving are one daughter, Loretta Mitchell of Sherwood, Arkansas; three sons, Terry Jarrell of Glendale, Arizona, Ed Kersey of Springfield, Missouri, Wayne Kersey of Dexter, Missouri; thirteen grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; and one sister, Shelby Sadler of Bloomfield. Other relative and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert, Johnny and Chris Black; and five sisters, Ella Sue Hicks, Lona Mae Black, Lillie Mae Landers, Betty Lois Black and Beulah Jarrell.
Visitation will be Tuesday, October 16, 2018, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter with Tom Jarrell of Bloomfield, Missouri officiating.
Interment will follow in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter, with Watkins & Sons Funeral Services in charge of arrangements.

In Memory of Vonda G. Davis

Vonda G. Davis, daughter of the late Louise Thompson, was born November 13, 1947 in Miner Switch, Missouri and departed this life on October 11, 2018 at the Gideon Nursing Center in Gideon, Missouri at the age of 70 years.
Mrs. Davis was a cashier for Home Oil Company in Sikeston, Missouri for 16 years and a delivery driver for Domino’s Pizza in Sikeston for 15 years. Later she was a hostess for McDonalds in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. She attended the Living Waters Church in Sikeston and was a resident of Dexter.
She is survived by; three sons, Robert L. Davis of Sikeston, Missouri, Steven Davis of Dexter, Missouri and William Aaron Davis of Sikeston, Missouri; by one brother, Rex Lee Mullendore of Tennessee; by eight grandchildren and by twelve great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri on Saturday, October 13, 2018 from 2:00p.m. to 3:00p.m. Graveside services will be conducted on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 4:00p.m. at the Armer Cemetery in Bertrand, Missouri with Rev. Max Schrieber officiating.
Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri is in charge of all arrangements.

In Memory of Eugene William Campbell

Eugene William Campbell, son of the late Oscar Campbell and Mildred Moore Campbell was born in Sturgeon, Missouri on April 10, 1940 and departed this life at his residence in Bernie, Missouri on October 8, 2018 at the age of 78.
Mr. Campbell had been a farm laborer and attended the Bernie General Baptist Church.
Survivors include three brothers, Bobby Campbell and Edward Campbell both of St. Charles, Illinois and Curtis Campbell of Steele, Missouri; by three sisters, Shelba Wilson of Macon, Missouri, Carol Campbell of Steele, Missouri and Joyce Campbell of Bernie, Missouri; also by other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death other than by his parents, by three brothers, Charles Campbell, Junior Campbell and Rickey Campbell; by one sister, Beulah Pinkard.
Friends may call at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie, Missouri on Friday, October 12, 2018 from 9:30 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Funeral services will then be conducted at 11:00 A.M. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Bernie. Interment will follow in Bernie Cemetery. Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in charge of all arrangements.

In Memory of Mike McCollum

Mike McCollum of Dexter, son of Joyce Lee McCollum Matney, was born on October 25, 1956, in St. Louis, Missouri and passed away at the Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau on October 8, 2018, at the age of 61 years, 11 months and 13 days.
He had lived most of his life in the Bloomfield and Dexter area. Mike was a truck driver and worked for WW Wood Products in Dudley, Missouri. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and enjoyed riding motorcycles.
On November 26, 1994, he was married to Tammy Hodge in Bell City, Missouri.
Surviving his wife, Tammy McCollum of Dexter; his mother & step-father, Joyce and Ray Matney of Benton; four sons, Mike McCollum and Jimmy McCollum both of Bloomfield, Cross McCollum of Dexter, Chris Pounds of Seattle, Washington; one daughter, Amanda Pounds of Dexter; and six grandchildren. Other relatives and friends also survive.
Friends may call on Thursday October 11, 2018 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.
Services will be held on Friday, October 12, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with the Rev. Lynn Ash officiating.
Interment will follow in the Walker Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
