In Memory of Bobbie Joe Russell
Bobbie Joe Russell of Puxico, son of the late Lonon Leo and Georgia Irene Maze Russell, was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan on February 24, 1936, passed away at his home near Puxico on January 10, 2019, at the age of 82 years, 10 months and 17 days.

Bobbie had lived in St. Louis before moving near Puxico in 1990. He had worked as a production manager in manufacturing.

On March 27, 1971, he married Jacquelyn Bates in St. Louis, Missouri. She preceded him in death on February 6, 2001.

Surviving are three sons and wives, Steven & Diana Russell of Puxico, Mitchell Russell of Ballwin, Missouri, Jeff and Melinda Russell of Chesterfield, Missouri; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and one sister, Christine Dill of Puxico. Other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by two daughters, Christine Burle and Justine Russell; two brothers, Kenneth and James Lonon Russell.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 17, 2019 from 5:00 to 8 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 18, 2019, at 1:30 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter.

Interment will follow in the Elliott Cemetery near Acorn Ridge with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.

In Memory of Carol Smith
Carol Smith of Dexter, daughter of the late Edward Antone and Mary Louise Sulivan Herzog, was born in St. Louis, Missouri on December 6, 1949, passed away in Dexter on January 8, 2019, at the age of 69 years, 1 month and 2 days.

Carol had lived in the Bloomfield and Dexter area the past thirteen years. She had worked as an R.N. at area hospitals and nursing homes. She was a member of the Spirit and Truth Worship Center in Bloomfield.

Surviving are her good friends, the Terry and Kathy Crow family of Dexter and her church family. Other relatives and friends also survive.

Visitation was held on Friday, January 11, 2019 after 1:30 p.m., until time of services at 2:00 p.m. at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield with the Rev. Jim Traughber of Dexter officiating.

Interment will follow in the Bloomfield Cemetery in Bloomfield with Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home of Bloomfield in charge of arrangements.

In Memory of Mary Lou Houart
Mary Lou Houart of Bloomfield, daughter of the late Mona Olive and Lula Fry Crabb, was born near Puxico, Missouri on June 28, 1932, passed away at the Puxico Nursing Center in Puxico on January 6, 2019, at the age of 86 years, 6 months and 9 days.

Mary Lou had lived in Puxico and Bloomfield most of her life. She had worked at the Purolator factory in Dexter and she enjoyed reading.

Surviving are three daughters and their husbands, Rena & Carl Hefner of Bloomfield, Sherry & Kris Bader of Brighton, Tennessee, Kelly & Darren Baker of Puxico, Missouri; three sons and wives, Marvin Bennett of Chaffee, Wesley & Carrie Bennett of Salina, Kansas, Kerry & Stephanie Nash Bennett of Advance; eighteen grandchildren; forty-two great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and one brother, Charles Larry Crabb of Park Hills, Missouri. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one son, Charles Dean Houart, one daughter, Lee Ann Stanfill, one daughter-in-law, Kathlene Bennett; two grandchildren; four sisters, Lillian Crabb, Edith Crabb, Viola Willis, Bertie Wright; and one brother, Neal Crabb.

In Memory of Floella Nichols
Floella Nichols, 87, of  Malden, was born on March 10, 1931 in Kennett, Missouri to the late Arvel Wallace & Ethel Hickson Wallace.  She departed this life on Sunday, January 13, 2019 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. 

Floella Nichols was a homemaker and was a member of The Church of God in Dexter.  She was united in marriage to Claude K. Nichols  in Piggott, Arkansas on December 11, 1948. He preceded her in death on October 31, 2007.

Her survivors include:
Daughters: Louella Wagner, Vicky Johnston & Kay Mickley all of Malden.
8 Grandchildren
8 Great-grandchildren 
10 Great-great-grandchildren
Brother: Charles Wallace of Malden.
Sister: Shirley Archer of Arizona. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents,  son: Mike Nichols, sister: Ruby Sheer, brother: Leamen Wallace, niece: Joyce Burrow & nephew: Darell Wallace.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 from 1-2 P.M. at the Landess Funeral home chapel in Malden. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 P.M. with Brother Hill and Brother Smith officiating.

Interment will be in the Tucker Cemetery in  Campbell,  Missouri.

In Memory of Ronald Clarence Marler
Ronald Clarence Marler, age 75, of Bernie, MO, died Friday January 11, 2019 at his residence.

Mr. Marler was born May 4, 1943 at Poplar Bluff and raised at Broseley.

He was the son of the late Clarence and Juanita Marler. He was retired from MFA AgriServices in Bernie.

He was an avid fisherman and hunter and enjoyed spending time with family and traveling. He loved sports and watching his grandchildren play ball.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Marler; two daughters, Renee (Hank) Trout of Dexter, MO and Jill (Curt) Curtis of Poplar Bluff, MO; three grandchildren: Jordan Marler of Poplar Bluff, MO, Megan Trout and Nick Trout of Dexter, MO; one sister: Carol Larson of O’Fallon, MO; one brother: Rodger Marler of Savannah, MO and many other family members and special friends.

Visitation will begin at 11: 00 AM on Monday at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jim Sanders officiating.

Burial will follow in Brown Chapel Cemetery at Broseley.

In Lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be given to 18 Fore Life, 705 Laurie Circle, Dexter, MO 63841.
