Julia Marie Moore of Cape Girardeau, daughter of the late Joe Thomas and Rhoda Evelyn Kelly Patrick, was born near Bloomfield, Missouri on June 17, 1919, passed away at the Chateau Girardeau in Cape Girardeau on January 28, 2019, at the age of 99 years, 7 months and 11 days.

Julia had lived near Bloomfield in the Beech Grove Community until moving to Cape Girardeau in 2004. She was a long time member of the Castor River General Baptist Church and was now a member of the First General Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau.

On October 13, 1934, she married Elzie "Monk" Moore near Bloomfield, Missouri. He preceded her in death on June 6, 1996.

Surviving are one daughter & husband, Lola Gay & Don Seabaugh of Cape Girardeau, one daughter-in-law, Vivian Moore of Poplar Bluff; one son-in-law, Russell Layton of Fenton; ten grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; many great great grandchildren. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one son, Herschel Vern Moore two daughters Melba Fisher and Carol Jo Layton; one sister, Helen Liebman and one brother James Patrick..

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 31 , 2019 after 10:00 a.m, until time of services at 12:00 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home.

Interment will follow in the Walker Cemetery in Bloomfield with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.

Janice M. Cox, daughter of the late Milburn Harris and Dessie Morrison Harris was born on February 10, 1937 in Sikeston, Missouri and departed this life on January 28, 2019 at her residence near Dexter, Missouri at the age of 81 years.

Mrs. Cox was a retired school teacher and had taught in the Bernie Public School System and the Dexter Public School System for 40 years.  She was of the Baptist Faith and was a resident of rural Dexter.

She was united in marriage to Rodgie Cox in Dexter, Missouri.  Mr. Cox survives of the home in Dexter.

Besides her husband, she was survived by, one son, Ronald W. Cox and wife Laura Leigh Rampey of Miami, Florida; one sister, Linda Harris of Portageville, Missouri.

Funeral service will be conducted in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel at 2:00 PM on Thursday, January 31, 2019.  Interment will follow in the Chalk Bluff Cemetery.

Elmer Harry Pryor, son of the late Elmer Harry Pryor, Sr. and Veda Medling Pryor was born on September 4, 1946 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and departed this life on January 26, 2019 at his residence in Dexter, Missouri at the age of 72 years.

Mr. Pryor was a veteran of the United States Navy, a retired Engineer, and a bus driver for the Stoddard County ARC.

Mr. Pryor was united in marriage to Barbara Bilderback on June 3, 1967 in Anna, Illinois. Mrs. Pryor survives of their home in Dexter.

Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Michelle Ellis of Indianapolis, Indiana and Jennifer McQueen, Great Falls, Montana; two sisters, Janet Schildknecht of Anna, Illinois and Barbara Cooper of Waco, Texas; by three grandchildren, Daniel Pryor, Rhianon Pryor and Lesile McQueen.

Wilson Frank, son of the late John Adolf Frank and Freida Findley was born on March 22, 1943 in Dexter, Missouri and departed this life on January 26, 2019 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri at the age of 75 years.

Mr. Frank was a Veteran of the United States Army.  He had worked at Fleming for twenty years and had retired from Holloway Distributing.  He was a member of the Sadler Chapel United Methodist Church, and was a resident of Dexter.

On August 2, 1969 he was united in marriage to Patricia Oliver in Essex.  Mrs. Frank survives of their home in Dexter.

Besides his wife he is survived by three daughters, Deanna and husband Bill Kidd of Branson, Missouri, Amy and husband Aaron Grobe of Dexter and Christi Carrillo of Dexter; by two sisters, Lavonia Ann Green of Hazelwood, Missouri and Verna Frank Clepper of Kirkwood, Missouri and by six grandchildren, Jacob Kidd, Sierra Kidd, Emily Grobe, Evan Grobe, Blake Carrillo and Kati Carrillo.

Friends may visit at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. 

Funeral services will then be conducted on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Rev. David Fowler officiating. 

Interment will follow at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield with full Military Honors.

Kenny McGuire, son of the late Hubert McGuire and Oble Fenton McGuire was born on February 8, 1933 in Zion, Arkansas and departed this life on January 23, 2019 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri at the age of 85.

Mr. McGuire was the owner and operator of Kerr McGee Shell Station in Dexter for many years.  He was a Veteran of the United States Army, member of the Grace Fellowship Church in Dexter, and a resident of Dexter.

On October 1, 1960 he was united in marriage to Louise Sewell in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky.  Mrs. McGuire survives of the home in Dexter.

Besides his wife, survivors include one son, James McGuire of Dexter, three brothers, Charles McGuire of Columbus, Indiana, B.A. McGuire and Raymond McGuire both of Dexter, three sisters, Barbara Fulford of Dexter, Susie Sewell and Sharon Asbell both of Franklin, Indiana, also by five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Johnny Allan McGuire.
