In Memory of Doris Mae Bowling Horn
Doris Mae Bowling Horn, daughter of the late Edgar Link and Etta Everhart Mallory, was born on May 14, 1928 in Essex, Missouri and departed this life on April 22, 2019 at the Bloomfield Living Center in Bloomfield, Missouri at the age of 90 years.

Mrs. Horn was raised by George and Addie Bolin.  She was saved at an early age and was of the Baptist faith.  She was a former line worker for Elder Manufacturing. 

On December 20, 1947, she was first united in marriage to Lee “Bud” Bowling.  Mr. Bowling preceded her in death on October 25, 1987.  She was then united in marriage to William C. Horn, on March 12, 1992, in Dexter, Missouri.  Mr. Horn preceded her in death on November 1, 2010.

She is survived by two sons, Terry Bowling and his wife Debbie of Farmington, Missouri, and Steven Bowling and his wife Needa of Wyatt, Missouri; by two daughters, Beverly O’Daniell of Bloomfield, Missouri, and Pat Boone of Dexter, Missouri; by one brother, George Link of Dexter, Missouri; by two sisters, Charlette Zimmerman of Bernie, Missouri and Bernice Hunt of Columbia, Missouri ; by one step-son, Scott Horn of Dexter, Missouri; by one step-daughter, Judy Shelton of Dexter, Missouri; by twelve grandchildren; by twenty great-grandchildren; and by three great-great-grandchildren. 

Besides her husbands and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, J.C. Link, Bobby Link and Steven Link; by two sisters, Louise Waggoner and Donnie Barber; and by two sons-in-law, Jim Boone and J.R. O’Daniell.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. 

Funeral services will then be conducted in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter on Thursday, April 25, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Steve Tippen officiating. 

Interment will follow in the Bloomfield Cemetery.

\Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter is in charge of all arrangements.
