Claude Edward Pickett, son of the late Othor Amon Pickett and Lela Mooney Pickett was born in Biglow, Arkansas on January 14, 1933 and departed this life at Winchester Nursing Center in Bernie, Missouri on October 20, 2020 at the age of 87.

Mr. Pickett was in farming in his earlier years and then had worked for IXL in Bernie.  He was of Pentecostal Faith and was a resident of Bernie.

He was united in marriage to Shirley Maybell Teel in Piggott, Arkansas on October 15, 1952.  Mrs. Pickett preceded her husband in death on February 1, 2007.

Survivors include one son, Randy Pickett & wife Demetra of Bernie, Missouri; by three daughters, Erline Williams & husband Ricky of Parma, Missouri, Deborah Dunn and Jean Pickett both of Bernie, Missouri; by eight grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; also by other relatives and friends.

Mr. Pickett was preceded in death other than by his parents and his wife, by four brothers, Harvey Pickett, James Pickett, Walter Pickett and Leon Pickett; by three sisters, Myrtle Pickett in infancy, Edith Waddle and Ethel Wimer.

Friends may call at Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie, Missouri on Friday morning, October 23, 2020 from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M.   

Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Chapel on Friday afternoon, October 23, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Steve Fitzpatrick officiating. 

Interment will follow in the Bernie Cemetery.
