
Billy Morris Curry of Morris, Missouri, son of the late A.B. "Buck" and Clara (Purvis) Curry was born on April 04, 1941 in Lamar, Arkansas and passed away on July 29, 2021 in Morehouse, Missouri at the age of 80 years.
Billy had lived in Southeast Missouri most his life. He was inducted in the US Army on May 05, 1964. He served in Vietnam and was Honorably discharged as SP-4 on the 30th day of April 1970. On March 07, 1981 he was ordained as Deacon of Hope Well Association for the Faith General Baptist Church in Morehouse, Missouri. He had worked for Wheeler Farms for several years. He was the owner of Curry's Custom Cotton Harvester and in 1988 he started Curry's Pest Control and worked as owner and operator for over thirty years. He loved to fish and hunt.
Billy married Donna Faye Tarrants in Ruleville, Mississippi on October 17, 1974 until her death on May 15, 2013.
He is survived by two sons Dennis (Rochelle) Jenkins of Arnold, Missouri and William (Ruthie) Jenkins of Morehouse, Missouri; two daughters Connie McClure of Arnold, Missouri and Michelle (Matthew) Creamer of St. Louis, Missouri; seven grandchildren Christina (Ryan) Hertel of Arnold, Missouri, Dustin (Ashley) Jenkins of Arnold, Missouri, James (Michelle) Nahm of O'Fallon, Missouri, Joshua Creamer of the US Air Force, Luke Jenkins of Lexington, Tennessee, Nicholas (Tanya) Gardner of Fenton, Missouri and Amber Creamer of St. Louis, Missouri; six great grandchildren Halee and Cobe Hertel, Brayden and Huntleigh Gardner and Harper and Ollie Jenkins. Also survives dear friends Arlon Pullem, George Gross and his family along with many other family and friends. He was preceded in death by one brother Kenneth Curry and one sister Dorothy Cox.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday August 03, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter with Randy Conn Pastor First Baptist Church Delta, Missouri officiating.
Interment will follow in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri at 2:00 p.m. with Watkins and Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.

Theresa Lynn Brown, daughter of the late Raymond Webber Jr., and Therma Harget Launius was born on August 29, 1952 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri and departed this life on July 31, 2021 at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 68 years.
She was united in marriage to Dennis Edward Brown Sr., on February 21, 1976 in Bloomfield, Missouri. Mr. Brown preceded her in death on June 29, 2013.
Theresa was a waitress and had been a truck driver with her husband Dennis and was a resident of Bernie.
She is survived by five sons, Kenny Brown and Mike Brown both of Bernie, Missouri, Dewayne Brown and Kevin Brown both of Dexter, Missouri and Dennis Brown Jr., of North Port, Florida; by three daughters, Rhonda Grimes of Bernie, Missouri, Tina Wolfinger of Evansville, Indiana and Denise Brown of LaBelle, Florida; by eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren; by one brother Raymond Webber III of Dexter, Missouri; by two sisters, Cathy Kirby & husband Gene of Dexter, Missouri and Mary Armour & husband Bob of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; also by other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death other than by her parents and her husband, by one brother Jeffrey Webber.
Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie, Missouri on Monday, August 2, 2021 from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M.
Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Chapel in Bernie on Monday, August 2, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. Rev. Ivan Mekan Officiating. Interment will follow at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri.

Justin Michael McGowan, son of Jerry Don McGowan of Bernie, Missouri and the late Shirley Louise McGowan, was born on February 27, 1958 in Dexter, Missouri and departed this life on July 31, 2021 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri at the age of 63.
Mr. McGowan was a member of the Westwood Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff. He was retired from the Union Pacific Railroad, where he held many positions during his career. Upon his retirement, he helped numerous individuals out in Dexter and Bernie, doing odds and ends and enjoyed spending time with his Milwaukee “toys”.
On August 21, 1997 he was united in marriage to Michelle Todd in Piggott, Arkansas. Mrs. McGowan survives of their residence in Dexter.
Other than by his wife and father, he is survived by three sons, Jesse McGowan and significant other Becky of Bernie, Missouri, Andrew and wife Lauren McGowan of Humnoke, Arkansas, and Corbin and wife Madison McGowan of Dexter, Missouri; by three daughters, Kristine and husband Josh Gooch of Highland, Arkansas, Miranda McGowan and fiancé Cory Blocker of Dexter, Missouri and Rachele “Abby” McGowan of Dexter, Missouri; by one brother, Joey McGowan of Bernie, Missouri; by two sisters, Jill McGowan of Bernie, Missouri and Mary Beth Johnson and husband Brent of Bernie, Missouri; by fifteen grandchildren, Isaac Gooch, Renly Gooch, Clayton McGowan, Aidan McGowan, Liam McGowan, Ethan Parrish, Hailey Parrish, Luke Blocker, Lawson Blocker, Andrew Layne McGowan, Lizzie McGowan, Lilly McGowan, Layton McGowan, Makenly Garner and Ryker Garner.
Other than by his mother, he was preceded in death by one brother, Jed McGowan and by one grandson, Myles Parker Gooch.
Visitation will be conducted on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. at the Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter. Funeral services will then be conducted on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at 5:30 p.m. in the Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter, with Rev. Steve Proctor officiating.

Elbert Lowell Gilooly, son of the late James Hamilton Gilooly and Vivian Delores Crick Gilooly was born on June 10, 1945, in Sikeston, Missouri and departed this life on July 30, 2021 at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Missouri at the age of 76 years.
On March 14, 1969 in Essex Missouri he was united in marriage to Mary Jo Cooper. Mrs. Gilooly survives of their home near Essex, Missouri.
Mr. Gilooly was a farmer and owned and operated Gilooly Brothers Land Grading with his brother Delbert. He enjoyed antique tractor pulling.
In addition to his wife Mary Jo, he is survived by one daughter Lee Ann Miller and husband Mark of Essex, Missouri; two grandchildren, Parker Miller and Mason Miller and by one sister, Carolyn Rodgers of Advance, Missouri.
Mr. Gilooly was preceded in death by his parents and by his brother, Delbert Gilooly.
Visitation will be held at the Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Monday August 2, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Russell Oliver officiating. Interment will follow at the Dexter Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers for Mr. Gilooly will be J.R. McGarity, Scott McGarity, Jonathan McGarity, Jeremy McGarity, Terry Duncan, and Jerry Duncan.

Gerald Dean Jones of Puxico, Missouri was born to the late Vernon and Naomi (Greene) Jones on August 12, 1929 in Carter County, Missouri and passed away on July 28, 2021 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri at the age of 91 years.
Gerald had been a resident of Puxico, Missouri and for a short time in St. Louis, Missouri. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Puxico, Missouri, a VFW member. He loved to fish, hunt and garden.
Surviving is his son Dennis (Betty) Jones of Puxico, Missouri; one grandson Denny (Crystal) Jones; one great grand daughter Kaylinn Hillis of Jackson, Missouri; one brother Chester Wayne Jones of Granite City, Illinois. A host of family and friends also survive. Gerald was preceded in death by his parents; one sister Loretta Newsom and one brother Gene Jones.
