
Gloria Kay Bell, daughter of the late Leon Marcus and Mary Ruth Schrader Marcus, was born on November 21, 1949, and departed this life on August 10, 2021 at Southeast Health in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 71 years.
Mrs. Bell was a former LPN and a resident of Bloomfield.
On May 25, 1981, in Mississippi, she was united in marriage to Bill Bell. Mr. Bell preceded her in death on November 7, 2020.
She is survived by two sons, Bryan King and Scott King both of Essex, Missouri; by two grandchildren, Ashley Blevins and Briar King; and by three great-grandchildren, Beau Blevins, Sloan Blevins, and Blakely King.
Besides her parents, she is also preceded in death by one brother, Gaylord Leon Marcus.
Visitation will be conducted on Friday, August 13, 2021, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. in the Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter. Funeral Services will then be conducted on Friday, August 13, 2021, at 2:30 p.m. in the Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter.

Karen Lee Tippen, daughter of the late Elmore Keely “E.K.” Cunningham and Reba Bowden Cunningham, was born on May 20, 1945, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri and departed this life on August 9, 2021, at the Cypress Point Skilled Nursing Center in Dexter, Missouri at the age of 76.
Mrs. Tippen was a retired band and choir director at Parma Schools and had also worked as a secretary at D and J Plumbing. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Dexter where she had served the church through her gift of music and playing the piano. She had also been a member of the Dexter Altrusa Club and was a resident of Dexter.
She was united in marriage to Donald Tippen on September 10, 1987, in Dexter, Missouri. Mr. Tippen preceded her in death on June 7, 2010.
She is survived by two daughters, Jamie Whitaker and husband Joey of Elkhart, Indiana and Dawn Dowdy and husband Ryan of Dexter, Missouri; by four grandchildren, Chad Grubbs, Amanda Turlin, Jessica Lesley, and Michaela Shafer; and by five great-grandchildren, Liam Shafer, Levi Shafer, Lillian Elliott, Lukah Johnson and Izzy Brooks.
Visitation will be conducted on Thursday, August 12, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. in the Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter. Funeral services will then be conducted on Thursday, August 12, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. in the Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter. Interment will follow at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri.

Betty Jeane Parks of Dexter, Missouri born December 15, 1939 in Rock Island, Illinois to the late Henry and Ina (Basile) Markus and passed away August 07, 2021 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri at the age of 81 years.
Betty married James Parks in Las Vegas, Nevada on August 19, 1977 they were happily married until is passing on March 30, 2006. She loved to do puzzles and collecting Native American items.
Betty is survived by four daughters Sarah Friewald of Illinois, Renee Morgan of Arkansas, Ann Parks of Dexter, Missouri and Eve Mason of Dexter, Missouri; twenty grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by two sons Dirk Parks and Johnny Parks. A host of family and friends also survive.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.

Reverend Richard “Wayne” Dismuke, son of the late Reverend R.T. Dismuke and Bernice (Ender) Dismuke, was born on February 1, 1948, and entered the gates of heaven on October 29, 2020, at the age of 72, in Franklin, Tennessee.
Before retiring, Wayne was the Senior Adult Pastor at Christ Church Nashville, and also served the congregation at First Baptist Church, Dexter, Missouri for 23 years as Youth Minister and Senior Pastor. Although Wayne retired from the ministry in 2015, he never stopped being a pastor.
On June 9, 1973, he was united in marriage to his life and ministry partner Ann (Parks) Dismuke. Together they had two children, Scott (Dionne) Dismuke of Franklin, Tennessee, and Amy (Jason) Kelly of San Diego, California.
Wayne was most proud of being a grandfather to his two grandchildren, Dyson Dismuke, and Makenna Kelly. He loved his grandchildren deeply.
Wayne’s passion was serving others through ministry and preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. He loved life and always looked for the humor in any situation. Wayne believed that laughter was the best medicine.
His impact on this world is immeasurable leading youth, adults and senior adults to Christ while ministering to them at youth camps, Disciple Now, Mission Trips, youth retreats, his senior adult ministry and even the local coffee shop.
Wayne loved the Lord, loved people, and loved the St. Louis Cardinals, although the latter usually caused him frustration with their lack of offensive production.
He is survived by his wife, Ann, their children and his two grandchildren. He is also survived by his two sisters, Mary Gladys McCune of Eureka, Missouri, and Carol Betts of Boise, Idaho, as well as many other family, friends, and ministry partners.
A celebration of life service will be held on August 14, 2021, at the First Baptist Church in Dexter, Missouri. Visitation with the family will begin at 12:30 p.m. followed by the service at 2:00 p.m.

Donald Joe Kimbrel, 82 of Bloomfield, was born in Bloomfield, Missouri on May 9, 1939 to James Eli "Hawk" Kimbrel and Mildred Alice Bolin Kimbrel and passed away on August 6, 2021, at his residence in Bloomfield, Missouri, surrounded by his family.
Don worked as a lineman for local IBEW 702, he loved to cut wood, fishing and hunting.
On November 8, 1975 he married Emma Nell Williamson, in Dongola, Illinois, she preceded him in death on April 19, 2020.
Survived by his three daughters, Pamela (Eric) Mouser of Dexter, Missy (Terry) Douglas of Bloomfield, Jamie Kimbrel of Bloomfield; ten grandchildren, four great grandchildren. two nephews James Michael Kimbrel and Joseph B. Kimbrel. Other relatives and friends survive. He was preceded in death by his only son Donald Joe "Joey" Kimbrel II, sister Janice Parks, one brother James Wesley Kimbrel, and one niece Donna Sue Belcher.
Services will be held graveside on Wednesday August 11, 2021, at 1:00 pm at the Rock Point Cemetery near Leora, Missouri, with Bro. Jerry Williamson of Florissant, Missouri.
