
Joyce Ann Smith-Moore of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, daughter of the late Orville and Gladys (Spear) Townsend born on November 08, 1942 in Acorn Ridge, Missouri and passed away on May 31, 2022 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri at the age of 79 years.
Joyce attended The First General Baptist Church. She was a teachers aid for the Puxico School District for many years. She enjoyed quilting and spending time with her family.
Joyce is survived by two sons Paul Jay (Dana) Smith of Poplar Bluff, Missouri and Jeffrey Ray (Linda Sue) Smith of Wappapello, Missouri; one daughter Jerrie Ann Ketcherside of Dexter, Missouri; thirteen grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Orville and Gladys Townsend, one son Timothy Allen Smith, her sister Rita Lou and her first husband Claude Raymond Smith. A host of family and friends also survive.

Wesley Louis Grim of Bloomfield Missouri, son of the late Oshel Gilbert Grim and Ida Alice (Brookshire) Grim born on January 09,1944 in Weatherford, Oklahoma passed away on June 05, 2022 in Bloomfield, Missouri at the age of 78.
He lived in the Bloomfield area most of his life. After High School, Wes joined the U.S. Airforce and served our country in the Vietnam War as a Sergeant. After his service, Wes obtained his Bachelor's Degree in teaching at Missouri State University and went on to teach at the Missouri School for the blind, and various other schools throughout his career. Wes enjoyed crafting with leather, woodworking, hunting and fishing. He also collected trains, model airplanes and was an artist.
Wes was a member of the First General Baptist Church in Bloomfield, Missouri and was a man who never met a stranger. He would share his love his love for God and scripture with all who would listen.
Wes married Mary Ruth Marshall on December 22, 1994 in Bloomfield, Missouri. Wes is survived by his wife Mary Ruth Grim of the home; one son James Lemon of Muskogee, Oklahoma; two daughters Honor (Jamie) Warren of Dexter, Missouri and Mary Elizabeth (Jeffery) Marshall of Dexter, Missouri; eight grandchildren; one brother Weldon Grim of Bloomfield, Missouri. He is preceded in death by his parents Oshel and Ida Alice Grim; four sons; one granddaughter Hailey Elizabeth Marshall. A host of family and friends also survive.
Visitation will be held on Thursday June 09, 2022 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Bloomfield, Missouri.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday June 10, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. at the First General Baptist Church in Bloomfield, Missouri with Brother Greg Stevens of Bloomfield officiating and Watkins and Sons Funeral Home of Dexter in charge of all arrangements.

Richard Lee McRoy, son of the late Clarence McRoy and Wanda Lee Gaines McRoy, was born on September 18, 1945, in Bloomfield, Missouri, and departed this life on June 4, 2022, at Oakdale Care Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, at the age of 76 years.
Mr. McRoy was the former Assistant Superintendent of the City of Dexter Street Department. He was a member of the First General Baptist Church in Bloomfield, Missouri, and a resident of Dexter, Missouri. As a family, the McRoy’s enjoyed visiting parks, sightseeing, camping, hunting, and fishing.
On August 15, 1966, he married Carol Reiter. A wonderful son, Steven Lee was born to them on April 13, 1968. Steven went to Heaven August 10, 2013. Mrs. McRoy preceded him in death on October 17, 2021.
He is survived by his sister, Teresa Rushin and husband Bud of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; by his niece, Amy Graham of Bloomfield, Missouri; by three nephews, Ryan Burns and wife Janette of Morley, Missouri, Robert Rushin of Springfield, Missouri, and Ross Rushin of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; and by numerous great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Wednesday, June 8, 2022, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be held in the Mathis Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. with Bud Rushin and Dennis Hutchison officiating. Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.

Barbara Jean McCormick, daughter of the late William Hal McCormick and Jewel Donna Powers McCormick, was born in Gideon, Missouri on May 7, 1939 and departed this life at Mark Twain Nursing Home in Poplar Bluff, Missouri on June 4, 2022 at the age of 83.
Ms. McCormick was a Social Worker at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center until her retirement.
She is survived by her special cousin and caregiver for 10 years, Judy Anderson of Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
No services are being planned at this time.

Donna Kay Groves, daughter of the late Herschel DeWitt and Linda Mitchell DeWitt, was born on February 27, 1961, in Sikeston, Missouri, and departed this life on June 2, 2022, at her residence in Morehouse, Missouri, at the age of 61 years.
Mrs. Groves was a homemaker, and she was a member of the Essex Church of Christ in Essex, Missouri.
On July 12, 1985, in Essex, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Thomas “Jimmy” Groves. Mr. Groves survives of their home in Morehouse.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son Jeramy Roberts of Sikeston, Missouri; by her brother, Brad DeWitt and wife Jacinda of Bloomfield, Missouri; by two nieces, Erica Emison of Jonesboro, Arkansas, and Taylor Balsman of Sikeston, Missouri; and she was a special Nana to her nephews, Ridge Emison and Hayes Emison of Jonesboro, Arkansas.
Other than by her parents, she was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Hollis and Effie Dewitt; and by her maternal grandparents, Frank and Inez Mitchell.
Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Sunday, June 5, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.
Funeral services will then be conducted in the Mathis Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, June 5, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. with Herman Morse officiating. Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
