Barbara Kay Taylor, daughter of the late Ben Sanders and Christine Dockins Sanders, was born on May 12, 1949, in Jawaa, Missouri and departed this life on June 2, 2025, at Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter, Missouri at the age of 76.

Mrs. Taylor had worked at Arvin and Elder Manufacturing. She enjoyed fishing, camping, and spending time with her family.

On October 3, 1970, she was united in marriage to Dennis Taylor in Bloomfield, Missouri. Mr. Taylor preceded her in death on January 31, 2017.

She is survived by two sons, Roger Taylor and wife Jennifer of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Stacy Taylor and wife Jennifer of Doniphan, Missouri; by her daughter, Karen Lockhart and husband Vince of Bloomfield, Missouri; by her brother, Roger Sanders of Dexter, Missouri; and by five grandchildren, Chase Taylor, Peyton Lockhart, Nathan Lockhart, Alexis Kjos-Randall, and Kiley Kjos.

Other than by her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Junior Dockins, and Bobby Sanders; and by her sister, Shelby Kneezel.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. in the Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri. Funeral services will then be conducted on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. in the Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter, Missouri. Interment will follow at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri.
