Dexter Scholar Bowl 2017-2018 Schedule

Dexter, Missouri - The Dexter High School Scholar Bowl will open with their first competition on Monday, October 23, 2017 at the Bearcat Event Center classroom against Bell City.  Both the varsity and junior varsity teams will compete beginning at 6 p.m.

Jan 13 - Bell City Tournament Varsity Only

Jan 29 - Quad Match with Portageville, Bernie, Malden Varsity Only

Feb 5 - Malden (H) JV Only

Feb 8 - Quad Match with Kennett, South Pemiscot, Campbell JV Only

Feb 26 - at Gideon V,JV

Mar 3 - Bloomfield Round Robin - Bell City, Bernie, Bloomfield Varsity Only

ShowMe Times Fall Sports Spotlight - Natalie Sitze

Dexter, Missouri - The ShowMe Times Spotlight shines on Dexter athlete Natalie Sitze.

Natalie is a sophomore and #6 on the Dexter High School volleyball team.

She is the daughter of Eric and Delisa Sitze.

Her grandparents include Dan and Connie Sitze of Dexter, Missouri, and Charles and Doris Hedspeth of Puxico, Missouri.

Sitze is active in Beta, Student Council, Future Business Leaders of America, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Pep Club, and choir.

Outside of school Natalie is active in the church youth group, club volleyball, and travel basketball.

Her hobbies include basketball, volleyball, and being with friends and family. Her plans after graduation are undecided. 

She was a part of the 2016-2017 district champions and 2017 third place in state in basketball.

Natalie attends St. Joe General Baptist Church.

ShowMe Times Fall Sports Spotlight - Hannah Thurmon

Dexter, Missouri - The ShowMe Times Spotlight shines on Dexter athlete Hannah Thurmon.

Hannah is a senior and #9 on the Dexter High School volleyball team.

She is the daughter of Matt and Mindy Thurmon.

Her grandparents include Lloyd and Jeanne Bell of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, and Elaine Thurmon of Broseley, Missouri. 

She is active in Future Business Leaders of America, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Sr. Beta Club, and Pep Club. 

She has played travel basketball and volleyball and is a member of First Baptist Church. 

After graduation she plans to major in sports medicine at a four-year college. 

In volleyball, Hannah made All Conference, All District, All State Honorable Mention, and All Region. In basketball, she made All Conference, All District, and Stoddard County 1st Team.

Dexter, Missouri - The ShowMe Times Spotlight shines on Dexter athlete Maddie Jacques.

Maddie is a junior and is a member of the Dexter Football cheer squad. She is the daughter of Mark and Michelle Jacques. Her grandparents include Clyde and Judy Jacques of Dexter, Missouri.

Jacques is active in Beta, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, FCCLA, Student Council, and Pep Club.

Her plans after graduation are to attend college at Arkansas State.

She enjoys shopping and attends Bernie Church of Christ.

ShowMe Times Fall Sports Spotlight - Rhylan Hillis

Dexter, Missouri - The ShowMe Times Spotlight shines on Dexter athlete Rhylan Hillis.

Rhylan is a senior and #11 on the Dexter High School volleyball team.

She is the daughter of Tory Hillis and Darren Hillis.

Her grandparents include Ron and Jo Bloemer of Sikeston, Missouri, Glaclys Hillis of Sikeston, Missouri, and Bruce and Lynn Hillis of Mexico, Missouri.

She is active in Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Future Business Leaders of America, Future Teachers of America, Teens Against Smoking Coalition, Model UN, Student Council, Sr. Beta Club, volleyball, football cheer, basketball cheer,  and track.

Outside of school she has participated in Refuge, Missouri Girls State, All-Star Cheer, travel softball, NSSC volleyball, and travel soccer. 

She has been awarded cheerleader of the year, All-Country Cheerleader,  All-Country team Cheerleader, Top 10%, National Honors Society, Top 10 people with the highest GPA in the whole school..

Her plans after graduation are to attend and cheer at the University of Mississippi and major in Broadcast Journalism. 

Rhylan enjoys swimming and teaching/coaching cheer and gymnastics.

She attends First Baptist Church.
