Class 1, District 3 Spring Softball Tournament Set to Begin Monday

Bernie, Missouri - The 2017 - 2018 Class 1, District 3 Spring Softball Tournament begins Monday, April 30th.  Games will be played at Bernie High School Softball Field.

Seeds are #1 Malden, #2 Bernie, #3 Puxico, #4 Dexter, #5 Charleston, #6 Bloomfield, #7 Richland

Malden is 19-4 on the season with Bernie 19-1.

Puxico is 8 - 6 and Exter is 7 - 7 followed by Charleston 2 - 9, Bloomfield 2 - 8 and Richland 1 - 6.

Monday, April 30th at 3 p.m. Dexter vs Charleston.

Monday, April 30th at 1 p.m. Bernie vs Richland

Monday, April 30th at 5 p.m. Puxico vs Bloomfield.

Malden will play with winner of the Dexter/Charleston game on Tuesday, May 1st at 4 p.m.  The other semifinal will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday.

The Championship game will be at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 2nd at 4:30 p.m.

JV SEMO Conference Baseball Bracket Announced

Dexter, Missouri - The 2018 JV SEMO Conference Baseball Tournament is slated for begin Friday, May 4, 2018 and Saturday, May 5, 2018 at Dexter's baseball field at East City Park.

Seeds are #1 Jackson, #2 Notre Dame, #3 Poplar Bluff, #4 Dexter, #5 Sikeston. 

Friday, May 4, 2018 at 4:30 p.m. Dexter will host Sikeston Junior Varsity.

Saturday, May 5, 2018 Jackson will play the winner of the Dexter/Sikeston game at 10:00 a.m.

Saturday, May 5, 2018 Notre Dame will play Poplar Bluff at Noon.

The Championship of the JV SEMO Conference Baseball Tournament will be played on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 2:30 p.m.

2018 SEMO Conference Baseball Tournament Set to Begin Friday

The 2018 SEMO Conference High School Baseball Tournament is set to begin Friday, April 27, th.  Each game is played at the higher seeded location.

Poplar Bluff has the #1 seed, followed by #2 Jackson, #3 Kennett, #4 Sikeston, #5 Notre Dame, #6 Cape Central, #7 Dexter, and #8 NMCC.

Poplar Bluff will play New Madrid County Central at 4:30 p.m. at Poplar Bluff on Friday.

Sikeston will host Notre Dame at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.

Jackson will face Dexter at home also at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.

Kennett will play Cape Central at Kennett at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.

On Saturday games will be held at Notre Dame and Cape Central depending on which side of the bracket teams end up on.

They are to be played at 10 a.m. and noon.

7th place will be held on Monday, April 30th at noon at Capaha Park in Cape Girardeau.

Consolation game will be held at 2:15 p.m. on Monday, April 30th at 2:15 p.m.

Championship will be held at Capaha Park on Monday, April 30th at 7 p.m.

Third place will be played at 4:30 p.m. on Monday at Capaha Park.

Lady Bearcat Volleyball Program to Host Summer Camp for Girls Grades 2 - 8.
Dexter, Missouri - The Dexter Volleyball program will host a summer camp for girls grades 2 - 8.

This will be the grade the child will enter in the 2018 - 2019 academic school year.

Camp will feature Team Concepts, Passing/Defensive Instruction, Serving Instruction, Setting Instruction, Hitting/Blocking (upper grades), Ability/Age Grouping, and Contests and Games.

Athletes will get a camp t-shirt and winners of the contests will earn a certificate. 

Cost is $25 for the camp and make checks payable to Dexter High School.

The Camp will be May 22nd, 23rd, and 24th.

Grades 2nd and 3rd will be from 8 a.m. - 10 a.m.

Grades 4th and 5th will be from 10 a.m. - noon.

Grades 6th, 7th, and 8th will be from 1 p.m. - 3 p.m.

Dexter, Missouri - With spring sports cancellations and postponements, the 2018 Swing Pink Softball Tournament is slated to be held on Saturday, April 28th with perfect weather!  However another team has withdrawn from the tournament putting them down to 13 total teams.  The event will be held at East City Park in Dexter beginning at 9 a.m.

Portageville dropped out on Monday.  

Teams are divided into four pools:

Pool A includes Bernie, Clearwater, Kennett and Ste. Genevieve.

Pool B includes Greenville, Oran and Potosi.

Pool C includes Bloomfield, Dexter and East Prairie.

Pool D includes Campbell, Charleston and Cooter.

If anything changes between this article and Saturday morning please watch the ShowMe Times Facebook page for any changes.

Here is the updated schedule for Saturday, April 28, 2018.  It will be more of a round robin without rankings or seeds.

Field A:
Bloomfield vs. Campbell, 9 a.m.
Bernie vs. Kennett, 11 a.m.
East Prairie vs. Cooter, 1 p.m.
Kennett vs Ste. Genevieve 3 p.m.
Bloomfield vs Ste. Genevieve 5 p.m.
Bernie vs Ste. Genevieve 7 p.m.

Field B:
