2022 Puxico High School Sports Senior Night Featuring Adysen Shepard

The Puxico High School is proud to have student athletes who represent the school well, through their hard work both on the court and in the classroom.  Tonight they honored their senior athletes for their last season and representing the Puxico Indians.

Cheerleading flyer, Adysen Shepard, being escorted by her mother,, Michele Owens and step-father Mike Owens, along with father, David Shepard, and Step-mother Tammy Shepard.

Ady has been a cheerleader for all four years of her high school career.

After graduation she plans to attend Southeast Missouri State University - Cape Girardeau to obtain a Bachelor of Science in nursing.

Any would like to thank her mom for always pushing her to be her best, the special coaches and teammates she has had throughout the years who always kept her open to new ideas.

Ady's words of wisdom to her teammates is, "Never let anyone push you away from your goals and always strive to be the best cheerleader you can be."

Cheerleading base, Chloey Foster, being escorted by her mother, Amanda Foster and brother Nolan Foster. 

Chloey has been a cheerleader all four years of high school.

After graduation she plans to attend Three Rivers College - Poplar Bluff and pursue a career in teaching.

Chloey would like to say thank you to her mom for always encouraging her to her best, and her team for always making her laugh and making the best memories.  She would also like to thank Ms. Garner for always being there for her.

Chloey's words of wisdom to her teammates is, "Always live your life to the fullest and never take any memory for granted, remember to live life, love as much as you can and cheer as loud as you possibly could."

Cheerleading back spot, Jera Backus, was escorted by her father, Todd Backus and her mother, Amy Backus.

Jera has been a Puxico cheerleader for the last four years of her high school career.

After graduation she plans to attend Southeast Missouri State University - Cape Girardeau and earn a degree in business.

She would like to say thank you to her coaches and teammates for working hard to make every season memorable.  She also wants to thank her parents for supporting her and pushing her to be the best she could be on her three year journey thus far.

Jera's words of wisdom to her teammates is, "In all that you do put your heart in it and it can be accomplished."

The Puxico High School is proud to have student athletes who represent the school well, through their hard work both on the court and in the classroom.  Tonight they honored their senior athletes for their last season and representing the Puxico Indians.

Cheerleading base, Destiny Griffin, was escorted by her father, Mark Griffin, and step-mother, Melissa Griffin.  

Destiny has been a cheerleader all four years, after graduation she plans to attend Southeast Missouri State University - Cape Girardeau in the fall of 2023.  She will obtain a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work and eventually be a Forensic Psychologist.

Destiny would like to thank her team for always being dedicated and willing to put in the work.  She would also like to thank Chelsea, Emma, and Ms. Garner for their time, effort and motivation these past four years.

Lastly, Destiny wants to thank her parents for always supporting her no matter what.

Destin's words of wisdom to her teammates is to: "Have an open mind and get out of your comfort zone."

2022 Puxico High School Sports Senior Night Featuring Lanie Wilkerson

The Puxico High School is proud to have student athletes who represent the school well, through their hard work both on the court and in the classroom.  Tonight they honored their senior athletes for their last season and representing the Puxico Indians.

Post player, #33 Lanie Wilkerson  was escorted by her father, Brian Wilkerson and her mother, Wren Wilkerson.

Lanie has been a part of the girls basketball team all four years of high school.

After graduation she plans to attend Southeast Missouri State University - Kennettt. She plans to get her Bachelor of Agricultural Business and then get her pilot's license to become a crop duster.

Lanie would like to thank Austin, Ava, and Emily for making these past years so enjoyable.  Her coach, for putting up with all our problems every day and she would mainly like to thank her parents for being at every game and event and not lettering her quit.

Lanie's words of wisdom to her teammates is "Don't give up and don't take everything personally, it's basketball."
