The Dexter Bearcats had yet another great day golfing in southeast Missouri. They played in the Dragon Invitational at Ste. Genevieve. There were 21 teams and 108 golfers.
The Bearcats shot 321, finishing 18 strokes ahead of the filed to take first place as a team.
Ben Christian was the medalist at 73. Tucker Temples earned third with a 77 and Banks Nesselrodt was 6th with a 79.
Carter Stone got his first 18 hole round in and contributed a 92. Will Guethle rounded out the team with a 93.
The weather was awesome, but course conditions were a little tough.
"Great to see the boys play though it," stated golf coach Shawn Guethle.

On one of the windiest days of the 2025 softball season the Lady Cats held their annual Senior Night for five graduating athletes.
Alexis Sisk is the daughter of Scott and Andrea Sisk.
She is a four year member of the softball team. She is also involved in Future Business Leaders of America, FCCLA, Sr. Beta Club, Volleyball, and Football Cheer.
Her future plans are to attend Three Rivers College and major in Early Childhood Education and advancing her degree to become a Literature Professor.
Her most memorable softball moment at DHS is having a dance battle in the rain storm with Charleston, her junior year of Districts.

Payton Short is the daughter of Josh and Cara Short.
Payton is a four yea member of the softball team. She is also involved in Sr. Beta Club, National Honor Society, Chamber Choir, HOSA, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
Her future plans are to attend Three Rivers College and obtain her RN license then transfer to Southeast Missouri State University - Cape Girardeau and get her BSN.
Her most memorable softball moment at DHS was making life long best friends with the girls on the team.

Isabella Pittman is the daughter of Gary and Jennifer Pittman.
She is a four year member of the DHS softball team. She is also involved in Scholar Bowl, Sr. Beta Club, National Honor Society, Future Business Leaders of America, HOSA, FCCLA, and DECA where she holds leadership positions in each club.
Her future plans are to attend Southeast Missouri State University - Cape Girardeau and major in nursing to obtain her BSN-RN degree.
Her most memorable softball moment at DHS was when Coach Jenkins gave her the Designated Player of the Year Award.

She is a three year member of the DHS softball team. She is also involved in Future Business Leaders of America and FCCLA.
Her future plans are to attend Missouri State University and major in Early Childhood Education.
Her most memorable softball moment at DHS was throwing warmups with Reese.
