2018 Bloomfield Homecoming Senior Candidate

Bloomfield, Missouri - Bloomfield High School held their 2018 Winter Homecoming Coronation on Thursday, February 15th.  Delaney Mayo was the senior candidate.

Delaney is the daughter of Ryan and Heather Mayo.

She is a member of Sr. Beta Club, Future Business Leaders of America, FCCLA, Future Farmers of America, FCS, Choir, Cheer, and Pep Club.  She is also on the softball team and is the volleyball team manager.

Her hobbies include hiking, family game nights, and riding in the convertible with Syd.  She also enjoys participating in her church youth group.

Her future plans are to attend college and major in elementary education.

Her escort was Dalton Phillips.

Dalton is the son of Matt and Charlotte Phillips. 

He is a member of Sr. Beta Club and Future Farmers of America.

He also is on the basketball and baseball teams.

His hobbies include playing sports, hanging out with friends and playing the farming simulator 2R17 on the Xbox.

His future plans are to attend college after graduation.

Bloomfield, Missouri - Bloomfield High School held their 2018 Winter Homecoming Coronation on Thursday, February 15th.  Kalli Causey was the junior candidate.

Kalli is the daughter of Travis and Tonya Causey.

She is active in Sr. Beta Club, Future Business Leaders of America, FCCLA, Yearbook Staff, Scholar Bowl, and Pep Club.

Her hobbies include reading and hanging out with friends.

Her future plans are to go to college and become a nurse practitioner.

Her escort was Alden Love.

Alden is the son of Arthur and Kathy Love.

He is a member of Future Business Leaders of America, Sr. Beta Club, and Pep Club.  He is also on the baseball team.

He is currently the Missouri Sr. Beta President.

He enjoys playing basketball, supporting the basketball team, and working on his 1976 Chevy truck.

His also a member of the Missouri National Guard.

His future plans are to get a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and go into law enforcement.

Bloomfield, Missouri - Bloomfield High School held their 2018 Winter Homecoming Coronation on Thursday, February 15th. Natalie Powell was the sophomore candidate.

Natalie is the daughter of Natasha Fornkohl and Eric Powell.  She is a member of the Sr. Beta Club, Future Business Leaders of America, Student Council, and Pep Club.  She also plays volleyball and softball for the Wildcats.

Her hobbies include drawing and playing club volleyball.

Her future plans are to become a neonatal nurse and work in the NICU at a hospital.

Her escort was Sam Whitaker.

Sam is the son of John and Jennifer Whitaker.

He is active in Sr. Beta, Future Business Leaders of America, and he plays basketball.

His hobbies inlcude hanging with friends and playing basketball.

His future plans are to attend a college.

His hobbies include hunting, fishing, and playing guitar.

His future plans are to become a Veterinarian.

Bernie School Board Meeting Minutes - February 12, 2018
Bernie, Missouri - The Board of Education met in regular session Monday, February 12, 2018.  Below are the meeting minutes.

The Board approved student trips for FFA to South Haven, MS, March 9th, FFA to Jefferson City, MO April 12th and FFA to State Convention in Columbia, April 18-21st.   

The Board approved the 2018/2019 school calendar.  

Program evaluations on Co-Curricular Activities, Discipline and A+ were approved.  The A+ Assurance statement was re-adopted thereby allowing Bernie students who qualify to obtain 2 years of tuition at a Community College or Tech school.

The Board approved adding Blake Trover, Kristy Howell, Samantha Henson, Candace Hodges and Marisa McGowan to the Substitute Teacher Employee List. 

The Board approved January Policy Updates and Regulations.

The Board accepted the letter of intent to retire from Edna Smith, 4th Grade Elementary Teacher, Lynette Thomason, Elementary Reading Interventionist and the resignation from Kelli Anthony as the Junior High Cheerleading Sponsor.

The Board approved the financial statement and paying the monthly bills.

During executive session:  Principal contracts for the 2018/2019 school year were awarded to Tommie Ellenburg and Lucas McKinnis.

The board approved Beth Shaffer as the Jr. High Volleyball Coach Assistant.

The Board approved the reassignment of Palisa Huber as the Elementary Interventionist for the 2018/19 school year.
