
Dexter School Board met for a regular board meeting on March 15, 2022. Below are the minutes/notes from that meeting.
The Board President announced the meeting is to begin, ascertains the attendance status of all board members, with all members being present. The Board President leads in the saying of the Pledge of Allegiance.
Consent Agenda: The consent agenda was approved.
Public Comments: There were no registered guests.
Old Business: There was no old business.
New Business:
A. The board approved an updated special assignment/extra duty assignment agreement.
Discussion Items: The following items were discussed with the board:
A. Building board reports were shared for Southwest Elementary, Central Elementary, T.S. Hill Middle School, and Dexter High School.
B. The monthly nursing report was shared with the board.
C. The superintendent’s report was shared with the board.
In honor of School Board Appreciation Week the buildings made cards, signs, and videos for board members.
D. The next regular board meeting is scheduled for April 19, 2022

Dexter HIgh School Sr. Beta Club hosted a Mr. DHS Pageant in the auditorium on Tuesday, March 15, 2022. Each entry competed in Formal Wear, Talent Competition, and a Question/Answer Session.
There were 17 Mr. DHS contestants. The ShowMe Times has 17 videos one for each Talent Competition on the ShowMe Times Facebook page. There are several albums of photos on Facebook as well.

Dexter, MO - On March 25th Southwest Elementary will hold Kindergarten Screening Day for the 2022-2023 school year.
The screening will take place at the Bearcat Event Center from 8:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
Children who will be 5 years old by July 31, 2022 will be eligible to participate in the screening.
Southwest Elementary office will accept appointments through Friday, March 11, 2022. Please call (573) 614-1015 for an appointment.
If your child is currently enrolled in preschool at Southwest Elementary you will NOT need to make a screening appointment.
