4-H Regional Youth Farm Animal Art Show

Margaret Harwell Museum in Poplar Bluff was the location of the 4-H Regional Youth Farm Animal Art Show.  Best of Show Winner was Evelyn Dvorak of Dexter.

Lion's Club Mae Hall Park Day in Essex

The Lion's Club will host their annual Mae Hall Park Day on Saturday, August 13th from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Everyone is invited to attend.

Pageants will begin at 10:00 a.m.  Baby, Wee, and Tiny entry fee is $10.  Entry fee is $20 for all other registration.  All contests are open to everyone.  Attire is casual or Sunday's best.  NO PAGEANT WEAR!  Deadline is pre-register is Friday, August 12th.  If rain, pageant will be held at Harvest Assembly of God Church.

BINGO will begin at noon and singing will start at 12:30 p.m. 

There will be lots of food and games for everyone to enjoy.

Banding with Biologists and Ducks Unlimited Greenhead Chapter

Ducks Unlimited Dexter Greenhead Chapter invites the public to bring out the kids to their Banding with Biologists! 

The event will take place at 7 a.m. on Saturday, July 30th at Otter Slough Conservation Area. 

Children will get hands on experience banding ducks and doves.

These bands are used to help biologists learn the travel patterns of waterfowl and harvest rates.
