In Loving Memory of Martha Faye Ellis

Martha Faye Ellis, daughter of the late Sherman C. Williams and Clennie Scoggins Williams was born on January 3, 1939 in Morrilton, Arkansas and departed this life on July 2, 2016 at the Central Gardens Residential Care in Dexter at the age of 77.

Mrs. Ellis was a charter member of the Friendship Baptist Church, she had worked in the following factories: The International Hat Factory, Brown Shoe Company and Arvin.

She was united in marriage to Charles Ellis. Mr. Ellis preceded her in death on November 12, 1970.

She is survived by two daughters, Johnna “Jo” Ellis of Dexter and by Shelia Stanfield and husband Donnie of Springfield, Missouri; by one granddaughter, Amber Pierce of Springfield, Missouri and by two great-grandchildren, Madison Pierce and Norah Pierce; by one sister, Frances Moore of Bloomfield.

Besides her husband and parents she was preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret Mae Lizenbee and Janiece Arnel.

Visitation was held at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter, on Tuesday, July 5, 2016.

Funeral services followed on Monday, July 5, 2016 at 10:30 A.M. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Rev. Lonnie Mittag officiating.

Interment was in the Bernie City Cemetery.

In Loving Memory of Gudrun Gudi Snider

Gudrun “Gudi” Snider, daughter of the late Gustav and Grete Hartung Ullrich, was born on June 10, 1954 in Frankfurt, Germany and departed this life at her residence on July 3, 2016 at the age of 62.

Mrs. Snider was a Self-employed Business Woman and home-maker. She was a member of the First General Baptist Church in Bloomfield and a resident of Dexter.

On October 8, 1982, she was united in marriage to Douglas E. Snider in Bloomfield. Mr. Snider survives of the home.

Besides her husband, she is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Monica and Luke McAlister of Chaffee;  by one granddaughter, Madison McAlister;  by two brothers, Manfred Ullrich and Johann Ullrich, both of Frankfurt, Germany; by three sisters, Erika Kessler, Hildegard Schneider and Rosemarie Eldmann all of Frankfurt, Germany.

Besides her parents, Mrs. Snider was preceded in death by one sister, Ingrid Boll.

Friends may call at the First General Baptist Church in Bloomfield on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. 

Services will be held on Thursday, July 7, 2016 at 11:00 A. M. in the  First General Baptist Church in Bloomfield with Rev. Ronnie Stevens officiating. 

Interment will follow at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery.

In Loving Memory of Trenia L. Mason

Trenia L Mason of Dexter, daughter of the late Gerald Wayne and Donna Marie Underhile Mason, was born in Dexter, Missouri on November 1, 1968, and passed away at Southeast Healthcare of Stoddard County in Dexter, Missouri on July 4, 2016, at the age of 47 years, 8 months and 3 days.

Trenia had lived in Dexter all of her life. She had attended Calvary Baptist Church in Dexter.

Surviving, sister, Angela Mason of Poplar Bluff; brothers, Terry Mason & Chris Underhile both of Dexter, Tom Mason of Essex and Matt Underhile of Bloomfield. Other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by one sister, Dana Sue Mason.

Memorial services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 7, 2016, at the Lighthouse Christian Center in Dexter, Missouri.

Private interment in the Triplett Cemetery, Dexter, Missouri. Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri in charge of all arrangements.

Loretta Genevieve Mouser

Loretta Genevieve Mouser, daughter of the late Otto and Edna Coffee was born on December 13, 1930 in Essex and departed this life at her daughter’s home on July 2, 2016 in St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 85.

Mrs. Mouser attended Temple Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff.  She was an exceptional cook who especially enjoyed cooking for family gatherings.  She was an excellent seamstress who could and did sew anything.  She enjoyed gardening and canning and sharing the fruits of her labor with her family.  She was also an avid reader.

She was united in marriage to Robert G. Mouser on April 14, 1951 at Piggott, Arkansas and to this union four children were born.  

She is survived by one son, Bob and wife Kim of Harrison, Arkansas: by one daughter, Terra Mouser of St. Louis: by one son-in-law, Bruce Hackmann of Jefferson City: by four grandchildren, Lindsay Hackmann of Columbia, Meredith Hackmann and Rachel Mouser of Washington, DC, and ZacMouser of Harrison; by one brother Bud Coffey, of Dexter by four sisters, Audrey Pulling of Dexter, Martha Tucker of Grayridge, Opal Short of Neelyville and Jean Isbell of Dexter and by four sister in laws, June Coffey of Dexter, Joan Coffey of Dexter, Margie Hueckel of Essex, Pat Mouser of St. Louis and 3  brothers in laws, Ralph Mouser of Dexter, Bob Isbell of Dexter and Phillip Short of Neelyville.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, one daughter, Debra Mouser Hackmann and by one son, Michael Gale Mouser and by one brother, Curt Coffey.

Visitation will be at Temple Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff from 9:30 until 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, July 6, 2016. 

Funeral Services will follow at 10:30 A.M. with Rev. Steve Patterson officiating. 

Graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M. in Dexter Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Temple Baptist Church, 1813 Barron Road, Poplar Bluff, MO 63901 or to a Hospice Program of your choice.

Linda Gail Powell of Bernie, daughter of the late Dale and Carol Mason Lawrence, was born in Sikeston, Missouri on August 2, 1956, and passed away at her home in Bernie, Missouri on June 29, 2016, at the age of 59 years, 10 months and 27 days.

Linda had lived in Bernie most of her life. She had worked as a C.N.A. at the Bloomfield Nursing Home and in home health. She was a member of the Bernie Assembly of God Church.

On August 24, 1992, she was married to Charles Henry Powell in Bernie, Missouri.

Surviving are her husband, Charles H. Powell of Bernie, Missouri. Many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends also survive.

Friends may visit on Tuesday, July 5, 2016, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter with services to be held at 7:00 p.m., Rev. Steve Kirkpatrick of Bernie, Missouri will officiate.

Private interment will be at a later date in the Dudley Cemetery in Dudley, Missouri. Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri in charge of all arrangements.
